Privacy policy

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Not yet completed. The identifying details marked [COMPLETAR] must be filled in before the site is published. Art. 10 LSSI-CE requires them and they cannot be invented.
In short. Cortex has no server, no accounts, and collects no personal data. Everything the game knows about you is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.

Data controller

[COMPLETAR: owner], [COMPLETAR: taxId], [COMPLETAR: address]. Contact: [COMPLETAR: email].

What data is processed

None on any server. Cortex has no database and no API. Your game progress and settings are kept in your browser’s localStorage; neither the owner nor any third party can read them. Exactly what is stored is listed in the cookie policy.

Usage measurement (optional)

Only if you consent, anonymous usage events are recorded — which puzzles are opened and at which level people give up — in order to improve the level design. No personal identifiers and no content are recorded. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings, as easily as you gave it.

PurposeImproving the level design
Lawful basisConsent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
RetentionAggregated data; consent is requested again after 24 months

Recipients and transfers

No data is shared with third parties. The site is statically hosted; the hosting provider may record IP addresses in its own technical logs, processing for which that provider is responsible. If hosting is outside the EEA, the transfer relies on the provider’s standard contractual clauses. [COMPLETAR: hosting]

Your rights

Since the owner holds no personal data, there is nothing for them to export or erase. Over what is stored on your device you have direct and complete control:

You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) if you consider the processing does not comply with the law.

Children

Cortex requests no personal data, so no parental consent is required. The minimum age to consent to processing in Spain is 14 (art. 7 LOPDGDD).

Changes

Any substantial change will be reflected on this page and, if it affects consent, consent will be requested again.
